Alicia Braun, MD (DC Location Only)

Alicia Braun, MD

Dr. Alicia Braun is Board-certified in dermatology. Her career began with an undergraduate degree from Princeton University and medical credentials from University of Maryland. Dr. Braun completed internship at University of Maryland Medical System and served a dermatology residency at the Washington Hospital Center.

Although she enjoys all aspects of daily practice, Dr. Braun has special interest in laser techniques and aesthetic services as well as medical dermatology. She maintains active membership in the Women’s Dermatologic Society; Washington, DC Dermatological Society; and American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Braun also performs volunteer work in the community.

Martin Braun, MD (DC & Virginia Locations)

Martin Braun, MD

Dr. Martin Braun is an alumnus of Princeton University, and earned his MD at University of Maryland School of Medicine. Internship in internal medicine at University of Maryland Medical System was followed up with residency in dermatology at the Washington Hospital Center. Then Dr. Braun went on to complete a fellowship at Medical University of South Carolina in Mohs micrographic surgery.

Dr. Braun is a Board-certified dermatologist, and a member of:

  • American College of Mohs Surgery
  • American Society of Dermatologic Surgery
  • Washington DC Dermatological Society
  • Faculty at Washington Hospital Center, providing dermatological surgery training for residents.

Marisa A Braun, MD (DC & Virginia Locations)

Marisa A Braun, MD

As a Princeton University graduate, Dr. Marisa Braun completed medical studies at University of Maryland. A pediatric internship at University of North Carolina, and residency in dermatology served at George Washington University brings broad-based value to her role at Braun Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center. Dr. Braun continued her specialization with a Medical University of South Carolina fellowship program in procedural dermatology and Mohs surgery. She is Board-certified in dermatology.

With a special interest in skin cancer, she is proficient in many treatment options. Dr. Braun also performs procedures such as neurotoxins and fillers, microneedling, photodynamic therapy, laser and IPL treatments, and cosmetic mole removal.

Zetta Hester, MD (previously Dr. Fayos) (DC & Virginia Locations)

Zetta Hester, MD

Dr. Hester is a Board Certified Dermatologist who specializes in adult and pediatric dermatology as well as cosmetic dermatology with a focus on neuromodulators, volume augmentation, and laser therapy.

Dr. Hester earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience with a minor in Physics from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. She earned her medical degree at Boston University School of Medicine in Boston, MA. She completed her Internal Medicine internship at Washington University in St. Louis and her Dermatology residency training at Georgetown University & Washington Hospital Center. Dr. Hester has received training at Children’s National Medical Center, the National Institutes of Health, and the INOVA Melanoma and Skin Cancer Center.

Dr. Hester lives in Falls Church, Virginia with her husband, baby girl, and dog, Molly

Joseph Hudson, PA-C (DC Location Only)

Joseph Hudson, PA-C

Joseph Hudson is a Board-certified Physician Assistant, who brings many years of clinical background to Braun Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center. He has experience in medical and cosmetic dermatology, treating many conditions of the skin, nails, and hair.

Mr. Hudson hails from Eastern Long Island and has lived in Washington, DC since 2001. He earned a bachelor’s degree in public health at George Washington University, and was accepted into the school’s dual degree MPH/MSHS Physician Assistant program.

To stay current with advances in dermatology, Mr. Hudson maintains membership in the American Academy of Physician Assistants. He is President of the DC Academy of Physician Assistants and is a fellow member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

Gina DeBlasio, PA-C (DC & Virginia Locations)

Gina DeBlasio, PA-C

Gina DeBlasio is a board-certified Physician Assistant and graduate of the George Washington University PA Program. Named Committee Member of the Year by the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) for her contributions to the SDPA’s Diplomate Fellowship Program, she helped create the premier training program for PAs in the field of dermatology. She is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants.

As a Diplomate Fellow herself, Gina is eager to help patients with all aspects of both medical and cosmetic dermatology. Since joining Braun Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center in 2015, she offers her expertise in skin cancer detection and treatment, management and education regarding chronic conditions such as acne and psoriasis, and counseling on and administration of aesthetic treatments like neuromodulators (e.g. Botox), microneedling and laser therapies.

Emma Yohannan, PA-C

Emma Yohannan, PA-C

Emma Yohannan is a board-certified Physician Assistant and graduate of the Radford University PA program. She has experience in medical and cosmetic dermatology, and sees both pediatric and adult patients in clinic. 

She maintains current on the PA profession and advances in dermatology through memberships to American Academy of Physician Assistants and Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants. She is also a Fellow member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. 

Emma lives in Virginia with her tabby cat, Colby, and her husky dog, Sage. She enjoys hiking locally and practicing yoga on the weekends.

Mary Schmauder, PA-C

Mary Schmauder – Physician Assistant

Mary Schmauder is a board-certified physician assistant. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Virginia and both her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and Doctor of Medical Science degrees from Shenandoah University.

Mary has experience in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She is passionate about treating all dermatologic conditions in both adults and children and has a special clinical interest in psoriasis. Her professional affiliations include the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

In her free time, she enjoys cooking, riding her Peloton, and mental health advocacy.

Sarah Hopley – Master Esthetician

Sarah Hopley – Master Esthetician

Sarah has been a licensed Master Esthetician since 2016. She specializes in acne treatments and facials and is experienced in advanced treatments such as chemical peels, extractions, lash/brow tinting, waxing, and microdermabrasion. She believes that patient education and building a customized home care routine, coupled with regular in-office treatments is essential to achieve each person’s desired results. Sarah enjoys staying up to date on the latest skincare trends and treatments and is always looking to expand her knowledge. When she is not working, she enjoys traveling and spending time outside with her two dogs.
